I have been breeding pet birds in the Chicagoland area for a number of years. I do not believe in overbreeding or pulling eggs for incubation, forcing the parents to overproduce. Also, I do not trade birds and follow strict quarantine measures with any new birds that come into my aviary.

My experience working with shelter birds has shown me that for many different reasons, many birds are not kept in the same home for their whole lifespan. Many times people aren't aware of the amount of attention and care a parrot will need. Hoping for the best long-term home possible for my birds, I will ask a lot of questions about the customer's knowledge of a species and what their expectations are from owning a pet bird.
