Is a Parrot the right Pet for You?

Before choosing a companion bird, please consider the different types of birds available and the requirements needed to provide a happy environment.

If a parrot would require too much of your time but you would like a small bird that is less demanding, consider some Finch or Canaries.

Do your research on the web and through reading about parrots and/or other bird species well before you select a pet bird. Make sure you can tolerate the noise levels of louder species such as Conures, and larger parrots, before you consider purchasing. Some birds live a long time and require a lot of cleaning as well as out-of-the-cage time, hands-on attention, extra expenses such as toys, and perhaps veterinarian care by an avian specialist.

If you are ready to buy a bird, I have wonderful, healthy birds available! NEVER buy an unweaned baby parrot unless you are an experienced handfeeder. I will not sell unweaned babies and I do not do trades.

I care about the home that my birds go into. Please read the "About the breeder" page for my philosophy and why you should choose me as a breeder.

We'd love to hear from you...Please sign our Guestbook...

Tip of the Month:

Did you know???

Parrots can suffer heat exhaustion...just like any other creature, they can get overheated from too much sun and warmth. Be sure to give them some shade and plenty of cool water, especially if they are outside (in a cage or on a tether, I hope).
